The tagline is "Your Inner Cartoonist", and this makes me think if maybe something happened to Tat as a cartoonist, as if someone made fun of him, but he didn't let them hurt him by being hella cool. Or something like that...
Lil' D is cute. |

I love Lil D and all but this comic kinda fell on blind eyes... is that the equivalent of deaf ears? Anyway, art is awesome but the script seems to be lacking... or it might just be me. _________________ I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell. |

the dialouge in the last panel is a bit akward. I had to read it a few times to get it. _________________ Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS" |

it's demonstrating the ultimate futility of li'l evil's efforts. he can fling a whole bushel of tomatoes at god, but he doesn't stand a chance hurting him - and while he comforts himself that he has made _some_ mark, even the mess he made of the landscape will be repaired in a few days.
this is why i don't get all the devil-fearing stuff - if god really is all-powerful, what damage can the devil really do - other than what you let him? _________________ aka: neverscared!

Strikes me that Lil' Evil is attempting to destroy an invincible enemy, something impossible to destroy or touch, so instead he can only vandalize the world for everyone else. Anti-war statement?
<hypothesis> America seems to want to fight anti-American sentiment, rather than any sort of clearly defined enemy, with no clearly defined leaders or organization. This is of course impossible, but not all is lost! At least opposing countries can be pelted to the ground, and the trail of demolished economies (yes, dictatorships have economies) can be a sign to others to stay in line. </hypothesis>
He may not be able to get God, but at least the rotting plants littering the ground for the time being won't make the creation seem any better. Of course, yes, soon enough it will be futile, but for the moment, it marrs this perfect creation, with bananas made to fit the human hand (if you have seen that video going around).
I personally do not believe in God, nor do I think of grafitti as a bad thing, but I do like this comic. |

We have a new record holder in the category of reading way too much into things!
Tat isn't that subtle with his politics, to put it simply. If there was any anti-war sentiment intended by this strip, it would be Monique lobbing tomatoes, and at a target much more clearly symbolic than God. |

I'm not really a fan of Lil E, he just doesn't have the omph that the other characters have.
He and Seymour are opposite ends of the spectrum of the people they are supposed to represent from society, but Seymour I think portrays his better. |

but... reading things into things is fun... note the hypothesis tags. I'll change my font to bold pink and start commenting on how cute everything is if you would prefer.
I am not really a fan of over-interpretation, but I am a hypocrit and enjoy doing it myself. |
