Of course, when she wonders about whether she matters to anybody, she conveniently forgets about the short guy with the tie who worships the ground she walks on.
And "I'm-a make the world remember my ass!" is a great line, simply since that's the part of her the world is most likely to remember anyway. |

If nothing else (apart from looks), the girl's got self-confidence. Very cute face in the first panel though, makes me want to hug her. |

Calvin and Hobbes has been this introspective and more so in plenty of strips.
Bill Waterson has a masters in Philosphy.
He has done plenty of bedtime scenes where the characters contemplate life and death. |
