Wow...he's getting more and more creative in the style of individual strips. It's amazing to me that he can always make it look so good.

a lot of the cartoonists I know still hand letter. i think a lot of the personality of a comic is found in the handwriting of the text, and it's something that is lost in translation to computer fonts.

I'm amazed at how good it is on the first shot. No do overs, no touch ups? Great art to begin with! This has been a very imformative strip.

Um... No. The first panel does not absolutely affirm that this was the first time he did this strip concept. He might have changed the poses, or the dialogue...

Tat was originally a penciler that idd the rough design for some Dark Horse Comics, Godzilla and GI Joe.

The pencilers jsut gave the comic shape and form generally and the inkers would actually done most of teh detail and design.

There were a few exceptions to this rule, like Chimera . this comic was done with no inkers, from pencils to color. if you read about it you see how difficult it was to transition from the rought pencils to detailed pencils.

It's amazing to me that the Wikipedia articles on both Chimera & Jay Anacleto's Aria say nothing about the art style, which of course is the most notable thing about them.

Wow! This is clever and beautiful to behold. All the jokes/puns work in this, a wonderful piece of artwork indeed.
