That was one of the most useless arguments I've ever had the displeasure of witnessing.

I'm afraid to say that this particular one sucks. Seriously, it's vapid, odd looking and not even funny (a cardinal sin in the world of the cartoon strip). I sure as hell hope that this isn't part of a trend, as (by Sinfest standards at least) this seems far too much like a "conventional" comic strip to me. Seriously, if this is a setup scene it had better get more interesting damn quick.

AND NO ONE GIVES A DAMN ABOUT THE PIGEONS OR RECTANGLES!!!!! Damn pedantics...

Yes because all comics must be canonical. Also, there's no way that her taming the devil's guard dog could be a setup for a later comic. No sir, no way.

Wow...I have this feeling of deja vu.

btw, 2 of the greatest ever that have nothing to do with any story arc or even the main characters.

*edit: hehe, I noticed both epigrams are song lines.

Geez, why would anyone be proud of coming first? It ought to be the other way around. Bragging about lack of stamina, pah.

It's the very first strip I ever read; it's what got me into the comic.

I don't get it. Are you saying that grammatical correctness is funny and absurd? Or do you just not know what a semi-colon is supposed to be?

Yes but Vonnegut was a satirist. The sentence would more preferably have been: "If you really want to hurt your parents, and you donít have the nerve to be a homosexual, the least you can do is go into the arts. But do not use semicolons; they are transvestite hermaphrodites, standing for absolutely nothing. All they do is show youíve been to college."

He was a satirist but I don't think the comment is pure satire, the man simply never used semi-colons.
