Did any of you notice how the number of bubbles in the water cooler changes throughout the strip? First it's two, then four, then three, and then two again! What do you think is the symbolic significance of this??????

Blatant strawmanning -- there's three bubbles in the first panel. ( Source)

I admit my mistake, but that does not make my point any less enlightening. In fact, the three-four-three-two pattern may be even more thought provoking.
But instead of contributing to the topic at hand, you instead provided an ad hominem attack against my character by charging me of strawmanning while it was clearly an error that does not, in any way, refute my original claim!
Now can we be a little more serious and professional? This is a comic strip forum, for crying out loud!

Great. Now leave.

Smile I thought about that, too. They say: "You shall get out while the party is hot". But I missed my chance! Now I have to wait till #1000!

why look, your current number of posts is divisible by two.

What a fantastic opportunity to leave.

And if you post again, the number will be divisible by five - even better!

While I can't deny the importance of the bubble theme, I see another visual motif which may have even greater implications. Notice the shading in the background of each panel. In panel 1, a shadow on the left side of the wall. In panels 2 and 3, no shadows apparent (although they may be obscured by the word balloons). In panel 4, the shadow on the wall has completely changed orientation -- now more prominent on the right side!

Why the change? It seems unlikely that the sun could have moved across the entire sky during the course of their short conversation. Perhaps, then, the shadow is not a result of the physical shift in the light source, but a change in the metaphysical nature of the strip's characters. The devil is on the side of darkness in panel 1 -- the imagery there should be obvious. But in panel 4, Jesus is walking into the shadow. It might be an allusion to the 23rd Psalm, "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil "... but I can't help but wonder if there is a more sinister suggestion here: that Jesus himself has been corrupted by evil, and now walks freely into sin. Any thoughts?

Everybody and everything annoys you. Are you working out the frustration of being abused by your brother on this forum?
