I'm as speechless as this comic is wordless. Good imagery.

Believe.

I like how Slick and Squig just don't give a fuck.

Remember kids, never question what's been sold to you.

This one reminds me of When It Comes by Incubus.

Pick up a copy of We by Yevgeny Zamyatin, it's the original dystopian novel which inspired Orwell in the first place; the father of all the modern dystopias. Great stuff.

EDIT: If you're going to read that, get the Mirra Ginsburg translation, not the Clarence Brown one.

You're giving the current US govenment far too much credit. Such thing happens in many others countries with far more dire consequences.

I was quoting Tat's current blunt political awareness. Should you want a list of dubious regimes all around the world, there is so many more than US. No ones is seriously saying that US latest elections weren't fair or stolen.

Kenya, otoh...

Georgia is next on the watchdog list

I count five words.

I like this one, the message is rather straightforward but the comic is well done. and who doesn't like hippie protesters? It's also nice to see seymour included in the "in crowd" for a change.
These strips that lean toward political (or religious) commentary (whether subtle or not) are among my favorites.

And I used ten, so if you're going to be a pedant (or an anal retentive, your choice) then I suppose I'm only half as speechless as the comic is wordless.

Five words? Wrong! The word "no" is repeated four times. So it's "no", "news" and I'll accept "?" as half of a word. So there are only really 2.5 words used for the comic. I guess that makes filecore only a quarter as speechless as the comic is wordless. Idiots.

Um. Ok? To be honest I'm not really interested in novels just because they're dystopic.

What... you... I...

I didn't say any of that. I said that the Bush administration is far too often compared to 1984. I'm not sure where you're getting all this other stuff.

Several things: 1) No one asked for your recommendation. 2) When you give your recommendation without asking, you look like an overarrogant douchebag. 3) When you go so far as to specify a fucking translation, you look like an even bigger douchebag.

Here's what it looks like:

"HEY someone mentioned 1984 and I just read the Wikipedia entry on it so I can spout out bullshit to make it seem like I actually know some cool shit, since Wikipedia + Sparknotes + Google + inherent time delays when posting make it so I can fake knowledge and participate in pseudointellectual snobbery! WHEEEEEE!!!!!

p.s. cocks lol"
