Well, that was an unexpected effect! But I like how you can see the clear evolution of the drawing from the first to the last panel - the fact that the structure of the comic itself is a nice counterpoint to Seymour's argument is subtle but effective. Good work, Tat!

The blue looks really cool as well.

This is a nice looking comic, and as Thy Brilliance said, nice metahumor as well.

Sorry, I guess I should have used Web 2.0 phrasing in my original post Confused

Not to say that this one is bad, or derivative. I like it.
Actually I like sinfest which break the fourth wall actually one of my favorite sinfest comics does just that.

I just love the shading in the third panel. It is a much softer effect than what Sinfest usually provides.

very nice comic. though the "perfect" comics are cool to (which there is no sign of drawing and stuff) this has a fun effect.

but personally, talking about evolution, i think its would be cool to make a comic showing differences of style between Tat's first few comics and this one (first with smaller 'nique and stuff). but then again, i don't see any drastic chances is style.

nice to see how sphere-y seymour's head is in the 1st panel

Interesting thought. So I decided to check, and apart from a few brief periods of change (and not including 'themed' strips) and different clothing styles (the hip-hop/rap phase, winter clothes, etc), they remained generally the same, although some characters became more lifelike along the way - Pooch and Percy most notably, as well as the Devil and Li'l E. I looked at strips approximately one year apart from 2000 to 2007, which gives you a general idea... here's my conclusion. It might be interesting to look at other characters too. I do notice that I prefer 'Nique's 2006 hair and Slick's lifelike end-of-2005 messy hair.

EDIT: URL fixed now! Thanks for pointing it out.

you're missing a 'h' in your link it links to ttp://www.filecore.net/misc/sinfest-evolution-1.gif, notice no 'h' at the beginning. Anyway good comparison.
Monique has changed in fact, she has grown-up. Her head-to-body ratio has increased around 2004, make her head look smaller when compared to her body thus making her look older. She really looked like child in first year of comics.

Slick (who hasn't appeared much in comic this year), is much calmer in te newer comics, when you look at first comics, he used to shout a lot. I guess he matured, and by he I mean Tat as much as I mean Slick.

I hardly mean to nitpick, but Humans were created on the 6th day. Birds and Fish were created on the 5th day. Seems the hardcore creationist would remember that.

Just saying.

Clearly an error Tat inserted to add additional clarification that the first panel was a first draft (unfactchecked).
