Now that's a terrible show. |
Let's give the cast of The Hills a ship and tell them to go fight Japanese whalers. |
Brilliant idea and I approve of it. _________________

I believe this entire thread is full warning enough, and you only have yourself to blame for permitting this event.
In recompense, I laugh at you. Ha! Ha! Ha ha! |

It's almost as if God doesn't even watch telly or something! (Or maybe He just has basic cable). |

A spot on the equator rotates around the Earth's axis at a little over a thousand miles an hour. Earth revolves around the sun at around 67,000 mph. If your reference point for measuring the Earth's relative speed is something like the center of the galaxy, or somewhere else in our local group of galaxies, you're talking 1.5-2 million miles per hour, give or take, though it goes up if you pick, say, a galaxy moving directly away from us on the other side of the universe (combined velocities from the rotation in the same direction as part of the larger system being examined and the laziness v. looking up the numbers are causing all of my rounding).
*shrug* Not that you asked. |

I couldn't remember the Eric Idle lyric and didn't feel like looking it up at the time. |

So excitedly, I sat down to watch a new comedy show from Foreignland, showing on BBC4. Everything on BBC4 is awesome, of course.
The Chaser's War On Everything
a half-dozen smug, interchangeable Australian boys perform cringe-worthy three minute links to 'skits' that whilst generally neat in conception are all to brief and insufficiently mined in their execution. Fucking awful. Die in an orphanage fire, plz.
gave me time to read a book, anyway. |

They're like a pussy Mark Thomas show, except they spend three minutes building up entirely irrelevant, entirely forced 'mateyness' before introducing a series of three ten-second 'amusing' skits, which must have taken 24 hours worth of filming and 48 hours of editing.
Then they spend another minute and a half slapping one another on the back for being so outre and controversial and funny.
They fuck fucksticks up their fucking fuckholes like a fuck-fucker.
