Grim Fandango... I NEEEEED A COPY OF THIS GAME! I played it way back, but it's gone now and I doubt XP will even prop it up. Anyone know a good way to get it?
Also, woots to Sierra... they had some press for the new Sam And Max game at PAX (which was amazingly good btw) |

"Alexander feels a strange pulling sensation..."
Yes, those games were great. HOWEVER, Amazon has been announcing these compilations since last year some time... toying with my tender emotions! >_<
First they were to be released in AUGUST 2005. Then MARCH 2006. Then December 31st, 2006. The fact that its been moved up to September 15th is hopeful, but the fact that they STILL aren't showing cover art keeps me skeptical.
I'm not holding my breath until I know for sure that these compilations even exist. |

Weee! That filled me with warm fuzzies.
August 2005? Really? Man, I thought this was the first announcement. Shit. I'm not a violent person. But I will FUCKING BREAK THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS if it doesn't come out before 2007. I need to play those games again. And I'm planning on forcing everyone I know to play them with me so I won't feel pathetic and lonely and to culture them with quality gaming. I doubt any of them would have the patience though. Yarrrgg! |

XP runs Grim fine. I know. I've still got it, and played it through for old times's sake a month ago.
I've never been able to get Day of the Tentacle to work outside of Bochs, though... _________________ (( Tiogshi Laj :: Average ASCII Artisan And Ambitiously Anachronistic Assonanteur ))

I remember reading somewhere that there's programmers out there creating emulationi enviroments so that old classic games like sam and max and day of the tentacle can still run on XP.
don't know where the site is, though... |

it'd be more awesome if they have the games available.
I still hate the fact that I exchanged my sam and max game with my neighbor because his mom doesn't like him playing violent games and for some odd reason my mom thought it'd be a great idea if he can exchange his duke nukem for one of mine...
