Considering this thread isn't dead yet, i might as well do this. It has been bothering me.

You take the Taylor-Approx of sin(x)=x-x^3/(3!)+x^5/(5!)+o(7), divide it by x
sin(x)/x=1-x^2/(3!) +o(4)
which goes to 1 for x→0.
You could also solve it by taking the linearisation of sin, divide that, and what's left should also go to 1. Of course it's the question if the linearisation has the same properties than the regular term in regard to the limes, but whatever.

Its gotten all over the internet over a lack of parenthesis. I was reading some physics forum that is still split 50/50 on it. They have videos of calculations, computer programs, etc to solve it and no one is giving a defined answer.

We need to find out who started it and ask the teacher what the answer was supposed to be, then we can figure out where (s)he went wrong writing it. Then burninate.
