17 out of 1 million people committed suicide? Is that an unusual number?

I think according to the comments the average in China or Chinese factories is like 100 in one million. _________________

So 10/100,000? Seems relatively low. The article's 17 suicide incidents (out of one million workers) happened over the course of 5 years, too.

I didn't say there weren't differences. I said they both collected the same type of information, which they do. The differences are in how and where it's stored, when and how often it's transmitted, and how much of it is kept... but they're both collecting the same information. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I don't mind that they are collecting the information as it is actually helping me with what I want to do with my phone (better call routing for fewer dropped calls and the ever important where are the local restaurants) but the how and where they store it is the key issue. How can we continue to move forward with technology and connectivity while not having our privacy compromised (easily)? _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.

I'd also like to add to the list of las's concerns the question of how long they retain the data after it has served its purpose.
