Exchange students would only be counted among the undergrads, of which there are 4.

I mean relative to the number of European students and in comparison to students sent to non-US universities outside of their own country.

But you're right in saying there are plenty in absolute numbers.

Not so sure about that, I know quite a few youessians who've come here to study. No-one I know has gone off to the US to study*




* One guy did half a year at carnegie mellon, but that was phd stuff

Without paying for the Open Doors data at home, I can't find conclusive numbers -- you may be right. A brief overview of their 2010 data shows more Youessians in Europe than Europeans in America. However, it also shows that more than half of US students studying abroad (worldwide, not just in Europe) are studying in short-term (less than one academic term) programs -- that is to say, language study-type programs.

There is no such breakdown of Euros in the US in the free data.
