Is NYE technically a holiday? Well, I get paid for it at work, so I'm going to shove my big fat holiday wishes in your face now.

Happy New Year folks. I'll be heading out to a party later, with an acceptable bottle of red wine, a passable sparkling white wine, and some hummus and pita chips. Yes, it's only the most mediocre for my friends, because I believe that when everyone is asked to bring a bottle of wine and a bottle of champagne to a party the object is clearly not to decant and appreciate said beverages, but to get snookered and make out. So here's to getting tossed!

I'll be spending New Years in a dive bar with a couple of coworkers while wearing a Ninja Turtle shirt and keeping the mace close at hand.

I believe in setting the bar high for the new year.

Nunchuks are kind of like two small maces connected with a chain.

Also, Samsally that sounds like a really, really... nerve-wracking way to spend a New Years. Why not celebrate some place you feel safer? Like an upscale bar, or perhaps a pub. An alehouse, even. Or perhaps at home, yours or theirs (your coworkers, not the sketchy bar patrons).
