Oh wow, I really like this stip. You can really see just how powerful that moment was. Just, really nice. On another note, it looks like the devil has hidden his tail in his pants here.

She's back! Oh, awesome! I remember picturing her as green. Did I imagine that? I do love the white though. Of course, if she's mother nature or something to that effect, maybe she's wearing...winter...clothes? Because why not.

Li'l E could not be any more adorable as a baby. No wonder the devil tried to toughen him up. Can't have your son taking glitter from strangers! On a side note, gotta love the hay bit in the devil's mouth. It just cracked me up despite the more serious mood.

OH GOD I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MAMA. No way she abandoned her son. Feed me theories I beg you!

Looks kind of like what the Greek goddess of love Aphrodite is generally depicted as looking like.

Oddly, The Devil didn't seem to know very much about Angel hunting the first time we saw him at it, presumably years after the events of today's strip:

I guess that strip was the first time he ever tried to retrieve the "body."

I saw a beautiful woman, white clothes and white hair, and my first thought was that she was an embodiment of Purity. The devil's actions against the angel have destroyed the hold of purity on the baby's world-view.

I dunno. To me being impregnated by the devil isn't something the imbodimemt of purity would do. And Li'l E already has the baby horns so he wasn't deviled later in life. Of course we could be being played with and he's some other Demon's son, but I still think Purity would steer clear.

On another thought, perhaps she's Sophia.

Well, let's remember that Li'l E now owns (?) his own house, so maybe he just growed up and moved out, that's all.

I'm pretty much convinced that Li'l E's mom is most definitely Persephone.

Until proven otherwise, of course.

That would be awesome. If only because of how hard every character would laugh when li'l E told people he was the son of Wisdom.

I...I guess that's possible. If that's true, I'd love to see he show up and mother him. It'd be all kinds of cute. I have trouble buying the absence as "shes just off screen" though.

Rather irrelevantly, that choice of words reminded me of this passage:

"...He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him. And lo, a voice from Heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." -- Matthew 3:16-17

Which, by sheer coincidence, sort of thematically ties in with this passage I found on Wikipedia re Sophia:

"Wisdom [Sophia] is justified of her children." -- Matthew 11:19

One of the softer sides that we've seen of Lil'E so far (not including after getting struck by God).

When/If he gets his memory back, any guesses on how he'll take his actions from the point of losing them? I'm a little worried about how our other characters may manipulate little forgetful Lil'E to their uses, but we shall see.

They'll have to notice the difference first...

I'm not sure you read the whole intro there.

"Some see Sophia as a deity in her own right, others see her as representing the Bride of Christ (Revelation 19), others as a feminine aspect of God representing wisdom (Proverbs 8 and 9), and others as a theological concept regarding the wisdom of God." (italics added)

In other words: Maybe She's God...

Moment of idiocy; of course they will, and it could take them ages to notice it. Cheers Ronald Smile good point.
Could a 'young Seymore' be a distant relative, now that we know a bit more of Lil'E's past?

But if not... (and if this is true)

Seymores' gonna get jelly.

Well, that's what you get for having a child with the Freaking Devil. Why her, I wonder? At least it wasn't with some anonymous devil girl.

Also, if he was unhappy with the killing of things, why does lil'E hate everything now? Bad parenting? Though I guess he's supposed to like Ariel.
