So we have this old thread about what we're listening to now and looking at it makes us look like a bunch of old maids. And I'm not into old maids. Old slags, fine, but old maids no.
So what music presently being promoted are you guys into?
I'm pretty addicted to listening to Earthquake by Labrinth ft Tiny Tempah because it's catchy as fuck and has provided me with at least three jokes, and taught me how to spell siesmology which I have just spelled incorrectly.
Also I love Stupid Hoe by Nicki Minaj because it's crazy and her name reminds me of the words 'knickers' and 'minge' and also her video reminds me of knickers and minge. |

Janelle Monae ft Big Boi -- Tight Rope
I love that Big Boi takes time out to rap about what appears to be the stock exchange.
Her new album Arch Android is pretty fucking much the best -- highlights are Cold War, Tightrope, Oh, Maker, BaBopByeYa and On The Bus. _________________ Once, at a local NOW meeting where I was the only male among about a dozen women, a feminism trivia contest was held. I came in third. |

Give Me All Your Luvin' by Madonna
See now, I expect Nicki Minaj to just be on any old record that'll pay for her, even though she's awesome and, as Teh Kidz say, teh sexy. But MIA, I expect more from you. You're not even supposed to be allowed into the US! |

I'm down with the silly nature of most of the song. But WOW, that Minaj verse was awful.
I'm listening to two very distinct types of music these days... transcendental and uplifting:

... and unusual J-Pop.

So there's been about a million mentions of this band on this one other pop culture website I frequent regularly, and I read all about them but because I lack curiosity (because I'm so in love with my self, and hey why not I am awesome) I hadn't listened to them until tonight.
Sleigh Bells. Some tosh, but also some absoloute brilliant, crashing, three chord noise.
Born To Lose or Infinity Guitars ...
Also I concluded last night that Nicki Minaj is the sexiest, and somehow funniest, pop star ever. I was pretty hammered tho, right? |

fuck it, i'm leaving this here! shameless plug to my friend who has been producing his own stuff and trying to get launched into the pop-music making business.
it's pop-electro-house, so if you don't like either, don't click. he sings/raps and has another female vocalist on some of the songs too.
if you fancy it, check out the rest of the playlist, too! |

Without listening to that I am imagining the lyrics are a parody of "Girlfriend in a Coma". |
