I don't see why not. Heck, unless that's the "hellhound" he summoned back when and it's grown two heads in the interval, that might be where he got the puppy from in the first place.

I would like to see Lil'E to really take over the world and show Devil that he is more than match for him. I also would like to see that he is going to do after that. Probably he will go insane. Still, it would be a nice image.

| I think a story arc with Lil'E eventually taking his place as Satan's right hand man and heir would work quite nicely, especially if he leaves his new friends bereft, and still wants to be with them in his heart. Plenty of pathos to be had there. |
