Obvious edit / addendum:

Of course that had nothing to do with Lala's post, but cheap jokes are expensive nowadays and I love a bargain.

Honestly getting into manufacturing, I am _shocked_ that things get as close as they do. When you are making a cylinder that weighs over a couple of tons, and you have to get the diameter to be within 1/8" and they mostly pull it off? Even identical cylinders might be off the other 1/8". Crazy times.

1/8th of an inch? When I worked in manufacturing shop for transition mouldings, they had to be accurate within 2/10ths of a millimeter.

I have absolutely had to be that close before but it was with machined surfaces, not hand hammered sheet metal. Transition molding would absolutely have to be that tight (aprox plus minus .007" and I had .005" to work with. And memorably, I once had .003" to deal with and that isn't plus minus that is total range. Crazy times).

And Gary's bargain joke was a good bargain. Nice purchase man.

Hmm, even following people on facebook means I miss some things. Apparently a high school friend of mine has been in this state for over a year. I still thought he was in Washington.

I'm not going to go see him or anything but it is interesting.

In fact I am not interested in seeing any of my high school friends that I have not seen in years. This is why it was irritating to find out that I had missed the 10 year high school reunion because it was organized through facebook with people I am not "friends" with but it didn't make me sad to miss it.

I have no interest in seeing anyone from high school except three people - my two best friends, and the first girl that had a crush on me (who is now a female version of Gary, except ginger and married to a doctor in Florida). Everyone else can go jump in a lake.

Back in the day, the organizers had to work to find everyone that went to school together. Now its, "it is ok we are doing it on facebook, and if they aren't friends with us, F-Them."

I will pay any number of eurodollars if someone can kidnap Boris Johnson and force him to live with me. Oh, the hijinks we would get into....

My schools 10 year is in 2 weeks. Its on facebook, but I only know about it cause I saw someone post in it. Went through the list, it's not even a quarter of our graduating class.

Also people from other years are invited.

Still waiting on that invite...

Nice try, ECB. We all know kidnappings are priced in Swiss Francs these days.

I just noticed that in python there _is_ a try statement but there's no do (or a "do not"). I guess Yoda would have hated python

Accurate too, good writing is all about iteration.
