While I'm not personally a fan of the Kanye version. To call it a rip off is kind of wrong. Daft Punk fully supported Kanye, and even said they liked the direction he went with his remix.
"Our song had a good sound, but when [the radio DJ] put Kanye's record on, the sound was really fat. It sounds really big."
They even appeared in his video I believe. |

Well that's cool and all but that's just your opinion, and I disagree with it, and obviously so do they, woohoo.
Either way you're still wrong about it being a ripoff because a ripoff that is not. A remix, a cover, it could be many things, but a ripoff would be more like... Comparing Bratzilla dolls to Monster High dolls.
Which is the point that was being made.

Okay, so I know I sometimes leave for long periods of time, months to years, usually when my real life becomes too intense/ complicated. Other times I just can't be arsed to but in the time and effort it sometimes takes to remain active in a place like this. I recognize I'm nearly a year and a half behind in the archives so I don't have as firm a grasp of what is happening as some, but I have been here for a fairly almost moderate amount of time so I am able to get the general idea. However, one thing is getting me all befuddled so I have to ask and apologize if this has been addressed at an earlier time: Who the fuck knocked Sojobo's mask over?! And for the love of god, isn't anyone going to fucking stand it back up straight again?!
