Holy shit SQL licensing is complicated. I have to buy some licenses, and, uh, no one can figure out what the hell we actually need. Since the price range look like about $800/license to $30k/license...

This job goes a lot faster when people just tell me exactly what they need, and I find it for them.

EDIT: as usual, I'm doing the research. Unfortunately (as I learn more than I ever wanted to know about MS's licensing structure), I think the project estimated their cost on the standard version, and now want and need to buy the enterprise edition. Which pushes it from a few thousand dollars into tens of thousands. Yay.

I am now aware of three acts of forum moderation around here:

1) Constant vigilance against spam
2) The softcore porn thread getting deleted
3) Ember getting banned from the forum

I kinda wonder how many others have gotten banned now. Most of them wouldn't bother sending me a screencap of it.

ember got banned?? wow - that is wildly unusual. i am aware of only one other person getting banned, and that was after much drama and actual posts by tat warning the person to straighten up.

i think ember is having you on (if he's the one who told you he was banned). his posts still seem to be here, with nothing to show he's no longer a member - the previously banned person's posts all seem to have disappeared.
