i am waiting for a little bit of yarn to finish a shawl. the person let me know she put it in the mail on the 20th, so i've been wondering why it hasn't gotten here.

so i just checked her location. she's in canada. apparently, the canadian postal authorities have major issues with anything crossing the border. i had heard canadian customs were bad, but this is going _out_ of canada. or maybe u.s. customs are getting back at the canadians?

This is why so many Canadians set up PO Boxes up here. Then all you have to worry about is getting glared at by the border dudes. The one's going into Canada are WAY nicer than the ones when you come back. Generally. None of them are impressed when you tell them you're going to an anime convention.

Falafel was a _terrible_ post tooth removal food. It is soft but it gets everywhere! It places it shouldn't! Then I thought that there was some stuck that I couldn't get out of the hole with rinsing alone. So I _very_ carefully poked at it and it came out super easy but it wasn't falafel - it was new skin stained with turmeric. This is why falafel is a bad post tooth removal food. I should stick to soup but I am getting tired of soup.

I've had a friend with dietal limitations post surgery before. He couldn't even eat tomatoes. It sounds very unpleasant, so everyone restricted from the foods they love has my sympathy. It always works out for you in the end Lasair.

A thought of mine is that, while I personally have no problems with Darq's eternal naivete, I can only guess what his children will make of him when they reach a certain age.

i had two molars removed and basically everything i ate tasted like blood for the rest of the day. just have to hunker and down and power through it until the clots are nice and solid. hopefully it won't take too long.
