are you prepared for the end of the world? is it ending?
kah, the world doesn't end, it moves. I'm prepared to move.

do we think human beings matter because we are human beings?
I do.

do you create things that reflect the opinions of a moral or immoral majority or minority?
I create things which I believe reflect the minority of the majority. I am a patroniser and a liar.

do you want information to be entertaining, unless it is news of an extremely serious nature?
I want information to be entertaining, whether it be news of a serious nature or not. Should I want otherwise?

at what point does pathos become self-aggrandizing and overdone?

funerals are a waste of time, but given the surfeit we have, any waste of time is welcome.

?????

do you honestly feel like you are part of the solution, or at least not contributing to any known problems? what is your part?
do you just go about your business?
I feel that I contribute as little as possible to the 'problems'. I convince myself of this easily and falsely. And entirely.

are you investing money for the future? buying property?
borrowing invisible cash by the truckload?
my money is gone. feel free to give me more.

do you ever feel guilty about the role you play in your society, even though you are a conscientious yet hapless participant in it?
i feel guilt about everything my eyes touch, and more. if there is anything such as the 'human condition', then it is constant guilt. or should be.

does every vote really count?
yep

is abstinence ever a non-viable option?
can you repeat the question for us abusers?

is your main goal in life to raise a family, or to enjoy your own life to the fullest?
I guess some will answer that the first and second are identical. i'm not that brave. i want to enjoy my life to the fullest, and i doubt that the guilt and sense of failure that raising a family engenders (or can), sit well with enjoying my life.

is it selfish to consider yourself the most important person in the world...
at least until you have a kid by accident?
Of course. But it's not uncommon. Or 'unnatural'. Or 'wrong'.

at what point does life begin? at what point does that life stop being your responsibility?
at birth? never?

do you think about god? does a belief in the afterlife have any effect on how you live your current life?
Yes. It doesn't effect how I live my life, aside from the odd drunken prayers for forgiveness.

would you rather completely change one persons situation for the better or effect millions of people from a position of remote control?
Is it an Adam Sandler movie?

if you were a movie star would you use your money and popularity for good causes, or would you become a recluse?
frustration would drive me to reclusiveness

do you ever fantasize about being something you are not? why?
who fantasises about being who they are?

do you think everything everyone besides yourself does is a cop out?

is sex cheap? beauty overrated? brains misused?

why is intelligence so highly rated when it really has no bearing on ethical or moral behavior?

when you see a couple drive by with eight children do you get upset?

is it disapproval or jealousy that makes you form negative opinions?

is it envy or pride that forms positive ones? or jealousy?

is it possible for good to come of evil, or evil to come of good?

do you ever want to make that decision?

is true love solely the perogative of lovers?

do you really think life is but a dream?
is it important to be sentimental? does it serve some purpose?
are animals really sinless? what seperates humans from the animals?
is it important to know that? do you think we can ever actually be sinless again? can we atone?
can we at least find a way not to exterminate ourselves?
why are people self-destructive?
why do some people go out of their way to save others?
is there such a thing as a truly selfless act?
is that important or necessary?
are you anything but flesh?

I hope one of those questions was 'Are you a quitter?' The termination of my answers should let you know that one.

is information that interests you entertaining in and of itself, regardless of how it is presented?

information which is presented in a way which I don't find entertaining is unlikely to attract me as a 'listener'/'viewer'.

as edifying as a nugget of fact, or story, or anecdote, or statistic is, i'm unlikely to give it it's fair due if it leaves me 'cold' or bored.

Also, I fail to believe that people who are 'happy with who they are' fantasise about being themselves.

Fantasy is surely about being something else. No successful teacher dreams of being a successful teacher; no successful astronaught dreams of being a successful astronaught.

oftentimes, ones profession defines oneself.

however, I know no-one who defines themselves entirely by their occupation. equally, I know no-one who defines themselves as satisfied.

however, i'm drunk & listening to The Smiths. how about you, Scott?

I'm trying to be drunk and not listening to anything. I do not define myself by anything, least of all my job, and I rarely experience life satisfaction. I think I have in the past, maybe four times? well, maybe those are the four moments I define myself by.

I fantasize myself as myself in situations I have never been in but probably could be.

Well, being unhappy with your profession usually means you'll be unhappy with yourself.
