I wonder what it means when your entire being is yearning for something different, perhaps a different lifestyle.
A general feeling of unease is bothering me lately.
The type of feeling you get when unanswered questions pop up in history with no conclusive resolution.
When, for whatever reason, an archivist fails to include a crucial tidbit of information that would have changed many perspectives on the matter.
It is worrisome when people don't see what you see, it seems their priorities are vastly different for some reason.
Do you ever ask yourself why it is that you enjoy certain activities over others?
Or how you could enjoy anything in the company of friends?
Do you wonder what exactly it is that makes you you? |

This made me giggle.

I spent the weekend packing up stuff in my grandmother's house, she passed away a few months ago.
I came home with my great grandfather's shillelagh, the blanket my great great grandmother knitted for my grandmother so she wouldn't "catch her death" on the ship when she emigrated from ireland as a girl, $240 dollars I found in a coffee can in the back of the freezer (what the hell, grannie?), a silver steak knife (finally I can protect myself from the supernatural), a bottle of vicodin, and a throw pillow my grandmother embroidered with:
May those who love us, love us;
and those who don't love us, may God turn their hearts;
and if He doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles
so we'll know them by their limping.
she lived on an island in the northern atlantic and while I was there it was snowing, nearly a blizzard. I had trouble sleeping last night so I walked to the beach, walked out the the end of a rock jetty a good ten yards into the ocean, and just stood there for ages in the snow and the crashing waves unable to see or hear anything else. it was an incredible experience. _________________ Formerly Green_Finn

People who lived through the Great Depression and their children often maintained a mistrust of banks and kept cash around the house. You never know when the economy will crash and banks will run out of money.
It sounds like your grannie was a pretty cool lady. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I’ll do anything to protect them from hurt, the human race is what I serve." - Baba Brinkman |

Hundreds of dollars stuffed in the toes of shoes in my great grandmothers house.
She would also steal all the condiments at dinner tables when we'd go out to eat. Your sugar isn't safe! _________________ I have a face, with a mustache.

it also sounds like she lived in a really cool place (although maybe not so much when it was storming and you needed supplies) _________________ aka: neverscared! |

Edit: Drunk Pint shared too much.
Getting a divorce. Filling out paperwork. Hence the drinking. |

Thanks darling. Things happen for a reason? For last few months I began to believe that and started to reach for my goals. We shall see. |

Since it's in the mixed bag thread, I'm guessing that there are pluses and minuses to the divorce thing... so condolences on the divorce and yay for going for your goals! _________________ I come from Downtown, born ready for you / Armed with skill and determination / And grace, too |

Sorry pint, wish it was a happier occasion for the drinking and post spamming.
