Hey HR this might be a stupid question but have you tried running your art programs through Wine? |
oh, right:

I can get SAI working under WINE pretty easily, but not with pressure sensitivity. |
anyway it's not like SAI is some "killer app" that I just gotta have
no
it's an app that I like approximately as well as several other apps |
Apparently I'm a moron and I somehow missed that. I really need to read through threads more before posting. I missed the part about liking myPaint equally too.
As for the games thing I was more replying to Mr_Moustache, I mean, if you were willing to wait for a little while after release most games can be played via WINE. Linux isn't like, the archenemy of gamers, I'd take it for gaming over a Macintosh system.
Also sorry for getting you skeeved over the pirated windows comment. Not my intention, although I can see why it would annoy linux users. I really like Linux!

You didn't miss that, I copied and pasted it from Tumblr ("elsewhere").
I'm saying Windows 95 is plug and pray,
if it's response you want, you gotta go the Mac way ♫

More on topic, I've got a skin condition that I've had for the last couple years, doctors have no idea what it is but it seems like some sort of eczema or psoriasis. It's popped up again recently and I got a prescription for a steroid cream, but it sounds like its got some adverse side effects that I don't really care for; depression, weight gain, insomnia and headaches.
Meh, dunno whether I should just live with the skin condition (it's not really painful or anything) or take medication with rather unpleasant sounding side effects. _________________ Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country did to you |

Job hunting in the defense industry. I have a ton of experience in gvt. contracting... but because of everything going on the requirements have been pushed to "ridiculously over-qualified," regardless of position. _________________ “Yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation”

It's not quite that ridiculous in civilian aerospace, but it's not far from it, either. I murdered my wife's cell phone this morning, though she called it a mercy killing.
I pulled out the mini usb charger and the insides came out right after it. So, it's not 100% dead, but it's only got about a 20% charge left and no way to renew it.
Damn thing was on it's way out, touch screen has been mostly dead for about a month now. She's just waiting til she is out of contract next week to get a new one with a different rate. _________________ I have a face, with a mustache.

Maybe I've misinterpreted some stuff, but don't you have the qualifications and experience for things like general logistics or even something in the energy sector? _________________

Call your cell phone company. They may move it up a week if you are willing to stay with the same company. _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.

My brother and sister-in-law miscarried on their first pregnancy. They were so fucking excited about having a baby. And I feel like a total asshole because while I would never have wished this experience upon anyone, it wasn't exactly a secret that I wasn't totally stoked about my siblings being all about starting families and having babies all of a sudden. _________________ Formerly Green_Finn

Geez, you should send a sympathy card or something. Damn that is a shitty situation. _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.

The short answer is 'no'. But that's almost entirely due to bad life choices and poor decision making. _________________ Formerly Green_Finn
