seriously, seymour routinely condemned fuschia over the years. I don't blame her for not wanted to paint anything for him just because he was being nice this particular time.
samsally, that drawing is awesome! _________________ Formerly Green_Finn

I may or may not have learned how to make animated gifs for this.
Thanks for the comments! I hope you know you're just encouraging this bullshit though. _________________ Samsally the GrayAce |

I'm away from the forum for two goddamn days, and look at what I miss. Fuck.
My favourite part of SamSally's work is the look on that pegasus's face. Totally knows what we're all staring at; totally cool with it. _________________

The pegasus wants you to look! I assume he and Jesus must have practiced that. The pegasus might even be sad if you don't watch the performance. _________________ ::lesser crisis mode::

I wonder what Criminy would discuss with her. |

KILL IT WITH FIRE.

I dunno. What I get from Xanthe is that she's not all that comfortable around men. This is specially true after the "No male allies part" but I really don't think that she'd be in her comfort zone while talking to a man in friendly terms. She's also clearly happy with her own circle of friends.
Might be wrong, of course, but it's what I always got from the character. _________________ Welcome to Sinfest, the only place with a 46 pages long thread about sentient toasters

She seems comfortable enough around Gay Guy. Who is, you know... a man. This could be due the fact they are possibly related, either that or he's just a family friend. But she's not particularly uncomfortable around him, although they've really only interacted twice. So it's possible that I could be wrong about her being comfortable around him.
But regardless; I feel like she'd be somewhat comfortable around Crim because he's a man who knows how to respect not only women, but pretty much everyone and anyone around him. He's kind and sweet and in general, a huge positive influence upon everyone he interacts with. Although it's true enough that she's happy with her own current circle of friends, there's nothing wrong with broadening the circle, so to speak. Even if she isn't particularly comfortable around men anymore due to the whole public enemy fiasco - which would be understandable! - it'd be good character development for both of them - regardless of whether or not she is or isn't uncomfortable with men - if they became friends.
It'd be proving that Xanthe is capable of befriending a man, without doubting him or his motives, and having her interact with the main cast more would help establish herself as a character better, as well as exploring her as a person and a character even more. I think the fact that she rarely interacts with the main cast, and the fact that when she does she generally doesn't really speak to them really, is holding her back as a character. Meanwhile, Crim being further enlightened in regards to the patriarchy - and even discussing the bomfed feminist book he has, or the fact she gave him a stack of books in the first place - would be quite interesting.
It could be some sort of butterfly effect that could set forth a series of interesting scenarios that could help develop the rest of the cast even further, as well. It'd be interesting, and it could have dynamic potential. A lot of quite interesting things could do with the prompt of "Xanthe and Crim having a conversation with one another."
Even if they wouldn'tt become friends in this hypothetical scenario, I feel as through at least any conversations between the two would still be interesting and have the potential to be really good for humor and character development. They're two intelligent, mature young people who could have quite a dynamic interaction if they would only, you know, be given the chance to interact. And when I say interact, I mean, literally speak to each other - possibly one-on-one. _________________ Character Chart | Terminology Dictionary | Flashback Strips |
