You'll need to find a way to do the following:

1. Apologize for your past behavior
2. Display that talking seriously with you is not going to be a complete waste of time
3. Find some way to prove that you aren't going to start whining and spouting misogynistic bullshit the moment someone disagrees with you or calls you out.

I can have endless patience for people who are trying. You don't try. So if you aren't a troll, make an effort.

Yes cause the obvious message has been heard hundred times over. It's also why Isreal finally bombed Assad while we still stand here drawing lines, cause they have oil and resources we need, we can't really do any damn thing or else were just going over there to conquer.

As for the meltdown, you know, the rambling, the complain, posting a pic of tat in Lingerie burning down the house of sinfest to get banned... (Apparent if you use decent art to insult him he doesn't get that mad).

I just know that I can't really post my opinions on the matter without being yelled down at, and asking for clarity and getting frustrated leads to me being believed I have aspergers.

First, if you think you have aspergers, get that checked out, and then learn from other people with aspergers. Don't be a jerk and expect possibly having aspergers (Or having ADHD, which you also used as an excuse) to be an asshat. I have social anxiety, and while that is different from aspergers or ADHD, I have had plenty of people thinking I'm a horrible person because of it. This has made things difficult for me. It isn't their fault, and when I learned how to more effectively interact with people, the problems went away.

The way you post your opinions is odious, and your opinions themselves are uninformed and childish. People will help educate you - but you have to do your own work, and you have to stop straining yourself by contorting and torturing logic. Stop trying to win arguments about subjects you don't understand. Ask questions, participate, but stop trying to win. Instead, when people who know better tell you something, consider what they have to say.

Slick was judging women and then whined about being judged.

Squig was objectifying women and then cried about being objectified.

The fact that you continue to refuse to understand this shows me that you are either unwilling to learn, or simply drink too much paint. Smile

And saying someone is cute isn't judging, and then saying someone who enjoys porn as disgusting (aka 'ew') isn't judging? Just because the other comic dealt with another issue doesn't mean it cant be used as an example of double standards. I'm not saying squig is right, Im just saying big girl and slick were doing the same thing, however, no one called out the female.

That's just it, Stripey. He's not trying to win arguments. He's trying to get under people's skin. He resents the attitudes expressed here, so he wants to subvert them by creating a tense atmosphere.

You know. A troll. Smile

Another good example of trolling, Stripey, is to derail a thread.

By, say, posting old cartoons and rehashing old arguments.

Now who do we know that does that...

To tell you the truth I was trying to learn, I don't go to feminist websites because I'm not a feminist, but apparently I should if I want to argue about it, but still it seems the only time I was considered a "good arguement" is when I said I was wrong and accepted the fact. I did it with the rape discussion and I did it with the torture discussion. Those things are bigger than feminism, and since I was given good proof or examples I could change my mind about it.

But with feminism it seems you have to be a feminist to be able to argue it. So I'll just put my "misogynist" views and you guys can have a laugh at them and insult them, and we can both go on our lives.

You don't have to be a feminist to be able to hold a conversation, but you do have to have a freaking clue about what you're talking about to be able to wax on about it without being made as a complete and total tool.

Actually it's cause someone just brought it to my attention, and since we were talking about douchebags, I would say a double standard is kind of a douche thing to be.

Another trait of the common troll, is that they don't just derail threads, they make it all about themselves.

Because their narcissism and sense of privilege demands it. Smile

Ok then let's get back to the main idea of the thread, as in "Who the hell in their right mind want's to be called a douchebag." Usually that's just what you call someone you disagree with because you disagree with them and don't want to deal with them.

So basically label anything you don't like "Douchebag" "Stupid" "Dudebro" "Feminazi" etc.

I think thats why I can't take the feminism in this comic seriously, so outlandish that it doesn't have any concrete place in modern discussion.

Edit: Same thing with the Patriarchy, it just seems like a big imaginary thing you can just blame all your personal ill's on so that you can feel like you can't really help yourself, then you can fight against this idea so that you can feel your actually doing something without having to improve yourself.

Rothide, you weren't trying to learn, because people were handing you information on a silver platter and you were just tossing up bullshit you felt like rather than engaging the information which you were given.

No one here is obligated to fix you. Go read whatever books you've got. You can whine all you like, but you have been given information and behaved poorly in exchange.

You're still approaching it all wrong, because you're saying, "I get yelled at if I don't conform! Feminists are all a hivemind!" And that is bullshit.

Have you seen me and Leohan argue? Leohan is much better at this than you are. (Other people can disagree with that.). Why?
1. When given information that disagrees with what he thinks, he talks about that information versus what he knows, rather than complaining about feminism.
2. His first inclination does not appear to be to shout about how people are being mean to him, and that feminism is this cultish thing that people have to be sucked into to understand.
3. He has a coherent line of argument that can be followed for the most part, so people can properly disagree with him or agree with him.
4. He checks in with people to see if they are okay, thereby displaying empathy and an understanding that he is arguing with people, rather than a hegemonious block known as OMG FEMINISTS.
5. He understands there are different ways to do feminism.
6. He backs up claims which are extraordinary.
7. He doesn shout at every opportunity that no one lets him speak his mind, and that feminists are unreasonable.

A double standard is not something a person can be.

And you don't get to have a nice conversation until you work out your past issues, since everyone here knows how you've behaved in the past. The very recent (as in yesterday) past.

If you want to have a decent conversation, knock it off.
