I scored 33/36.

I spent 30 seconds staring at the practice question, and had no confidence in the answer (and got it wrong). The first few questions were similar - I was going slow and felt very uncertain. Once I got a feel for it, though, nearly all of my decisions were instantaneous and I was quite confident. I think the biggest danger in this test is overthinking.

So while I think this article has a valid point, my first reaction was "Did you even watch DS9?"

Mirror universe Kira was unambiguously bisexual. Jadzia had a serious fling with an ex-spouse that was currently in a female host. The founders basically lived in a giant same-sex orgy. Gem-hadar were both eunuchs and literally alphas.

average is 26/36. I thought I was failing horribly and was convinced they were repeating the pictures with different choices. I just went with my first impression of each picture: 31/36 - that surprised me.

I keep failing to mention my own score, which was 29. I felt like I should have done better, though.

I got 33/36. I didn't read any of the words, I just looked at the eyes, got a feeling and then picked the closest match (like I might think, "aggressive," but end up picking, "decisive"). Oddly, I hesitated on exactly three, when my initial impression didn't match any of the options. But I might have gotten all of those right...

I scored pretty mediocre. Like, 28 I think? So, not completely terrible but not awesome either. Bler.

I received a 28, as well. I just went with my first hunch, on quite a few I had to try to guess from what was available though instead.

I was actually going to put this in the Random News Stories of Note thread, but it doesn't really fit the previous post there.
Amazon is making published fanfiction a thing. They have some guidelines up, explaining the split that authors can expect from any sales and a high-level overview of what is/isn't allowed. So far they haven't struck deals with a lot of media companies, but there are a few that are cleared for fanfic writers to try their hands at and they're working on the rights to more.

*edit* Also, John Scalzi has some thoughts following the announcement.

32/36. I'm amazed I did that well.

I was noticing a trend that a lot of the lady eyes were "interested" and "flirtatious." A lot of the old man eyes definitely looked... pensive.

I think all their eyes are stills from old films. Razz
