DeD, grats on the grades, dude.

Regarding the pugs, good luck. I've got two puggles and they've been together for years now. Sometimes you get a real sense of how well bonded they are, where one starts whining and feels lost without the other while they are at the vet. Other times they literally can't stand each other and flip out on each other for some invisible transgression and we worry that it's going to end with a trip to the hospital. It's never come to that except for a loose tooth that was knocked out during one of their bad times. For the most part, they get along really well, though and being half pug, I have to figure that you're going to be dealing with a lot of similar behavior.

i think all animals (including us humans) occasionally have issues with the other animals they live with. my two cats do at least their fair share of squabbling, but they've never actually killed each other - and it is funny, they do seem to back each other up in difficult situations (such as warning off a strange cat or dealing with having a tail stepped on).

and congrats on the grades!

Overtly religious coworker and I talked yet again. She apologized for overstepping her bounds in the first place and for cutting me off the other day. In short: we cool.

Buffalo mozzarella was half off because it was almost expired. Bought tomatoes at the farmers market and yes, they were still quite flavorful for being "only" beefsteak tomatoes. AND we had basil leaves in our last CSA veggie set. WHOO!

A 1L bottle of Father John's Winter Ale, some other assorted booze, a bonfire, and good friends.

It's been a good night.

We started assembling daughter's swingset yesterday with the help of her two grandfathers, and we finished it today around Noon. It is one huge metal swingset, and she loves it. I've never seen her so excited.

I look forward to seeing the swingset!

SC, that's awesome! Grats to your sister. I am jealous. xD (But it's my own damn fault for not getting my anthro BA.)

After about a month of trying to get a payment through to a webhost, it finally went through. Two different prepaid credit cards and two seperate paypal accounts later. 1&1 webhosting was threatening to send a debt collection service after me (and charge me an $20 fee for doing so) in an attempt to collect $8, but their broken fucking payment system continually rejected my credit cards (which I happily used on Steam purchases instead, with no problem) and my paypal accounts. I mean seriously, what in the fuck. They have over 700 complaints for their "Billing and Accounting" section on their BBB record, but somehow maintain a B+ rating.

Thank god it's paid though, I'm never dealing with those fuckers again.

It's pretty awesome, but unfortunately she's had to learn the sadness that is rain when it comes to really wanting to play outside. It's rained everyday this long weekend. :/

This is the one we got her.
