She acquired it from Lil' E's arsenal, waaaay back when.

She probably meant that as "You want to do this? Go ahead, I got ya.".

For no particular reason, here's a presentation of Li'l E's brief career as an outright force of evil...genius, which he began three years ago (almost to the day):

http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=3557

http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=3558

Oddly, in this strip, Li'l E almost comes across as if he thinks he's a hero instead of a villain:

(and 'Nique simply watches it all, faintly bemused)

Subsequent revelations have given this strip even more pathos than it originally had:

On a sidenote, the difference between the two comics? Yeah, I didn't find it until I opened them both and changed between tabs to look for it. That's exactly how I read it in my head as well. Shocked

If evil is his cause, why couldn't he be a hero of it (besides him referring to himself as a 'Supervillain')?

....because a "hero of evil" IS a supervillain. Neutral

The nomenclature should reverse when you switch perspectives, no?

Good person: Superhero (eg. Superman)
Evil person: Supervillain (eg. Superman)

Good person: Supervillain (eg. Lex Luthor)
Evil person: Superhero (eg. Lex Luthor)

Except he's not doing evil things despite thinking they're good; he KNOWS he's evil, he ENJOYS it, he REVELS in it.
So he calls himself a supervillain because he knows others would call him that too.

Lil'E uses the terms 'good' and 'evil' in the same way the majority of the population would, but his connotations are reversed. Since Lil'E thinks of 'evil' as a positive thing, Lil'E revels in being 'evil' even while knowing that he is 'evil.' He calls himself a 'supervillain,' but his connotation with 'supervillain' is a positive one. Someone in Lil'E's position could just as easily reject the majority's terminology and refer to 'heroes' as 'villains' and 'villains' as 'heroes.' It depends on whether you define a villain as 'a person who does evil' or as 'a person who does negative things.'

The thing is, at least one strip

http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=3337

has implied that, in the Sinfestiverse, "evil" is an objective innate trait, like, well, horns and tails. The strip cited seems to present the sentiment "Just Say No to Evil" as being in itself evil, which, you know, WTH?. I myself individually personally would find an examination of this facet of Sinfest far more interesting than the whole Patriarchy/porn deal, but whatta ya gonna do?

No -- horns and tails are an objective innate trait. "Evil" is what people assume when they see them.

Sorta like a "black man -> rapist" that The Birth of a Nation has.
"Just Say No To Evil" isn't evil because of some "denying evil is evil" -- it's evil because it when people read it is says "Just Say No To Devil Girls, Who Are Evil".
