27, but my eyes aren't very good.
Apparently I can't really see different hues of blue very well. _________________ The Thirties dreamed white marble and slipstream chrome, immortal crystal and burnished bronze, but the rockets on the covers of the Gernsback pulps had fallen on London in the dead of night, screaming. - William Gibson, The Gernsback Continuum |

Seeing them all lined up doesn't make it easier to line them all up if the problem is that you can't tell the colors apart... right?
I'm so confused.
Did I just explain the joke or something? |
yes, yes you did _________________ ...if a single leaf holds the eye, it will be as if the remaining leaves were not there.

Wow for some reason my eyes got all blurry when I was busy doing that. |

Not bad though I knew I'm nowhere near colorblind yet. Still the blurring might mean I'm sitting wrong on my chair. Yay for good eyes and bad necks? |

I got a 0 as well. I do specifically remember shifting my head from side to side at times when I was having some trouble distinguishing the colors like Sam mentioned so he's onto something there. Smart guy that one. =p |

That test may be biased by viewing angle of common LCD screens, though. Shifting your head around the screen to view at different angles helps. |
since angle affects the hue on many monitors, that's definitely cheating

YOUR FAILURE IS THE SAME AS MINE. WE CAN MOPE ABOUT IT TOGETHER. HERE, LOOK AT THIS PICTURE OF THE OCEAN. YOU CANNOT SEE IT IN ITS FULL SPLENDOUR ;'[ _________________ butts |

I took this test on two different computers and got two different weak areas in the results so meh. |

yes, whether this test works depends heavily on whether your monitor is displaying colors accurately
and the test itself has its weak areas
I'd guess that ultimately it only really means anything if you get a pretty high score-- higher than those I've seen self-reported in this thread, anyway.
so one 'meh' is not enough, or would that be too many? hm _________________ butts |

That is because as you focus on the color and your mind is telling your eyes to focus harder, your eye muscles keep on focusing and refocusing, causing an inconsistency. After a while your sight, mind, and eyes begin to work against each other as you try to focus, creating a dissonance between your eyes, mind, and eye muscles which help you focus.
Fun little test to experiment with this is just take your index finger, stick it out in front of you, focus on it, and slowly bring it closer to your face whilst focusing on the sensation of your eye muscles reacting accordingly. That is actually how you are able to tell distances, by how tightly your eye muscles contract to focus on an object. People with only one eye have bad depth perception because they do not get that feeling of a supporting muscle twitch to help them read distance. |

"meh" Mac because their monitors are pretty nice but other brands (like HP or Dell) have nicer monitors and cheaper monitors that are just as nice (and crappy monitors for dirt cheap, I guess), whichever floats your boat.
"meh"s all around! _________________ butts

That would be pretty cool-looking!
I finally got Graeme to take the test and he got like 38 or something up there. So from now on, I automatically win any color arguments. ;D
Unless it is about saying the word color properly, in which I will fail horribly every time. _________________ "Her kisses left something to be desired -- the rest of her. " |
