Brand Loyalty, some would call it.

A breed of man loyal to the original forum til the very end.

Worthy of salute.

Wherever a snowflake brushes against the eyelashes of a doe, stays a while, melts, solidifies, melts again... wherever capillary action and chemical reaction lose out to mammal interaction... there, you will find him

KK is possibly the least threatening person on the face of the earth. He's just super socially awkward. I forget how it happened, but Kara was in Seattle and KK, KamikazeArchon and I met up to hang out with her. We went for lunch and I said something about an awkward moment and KK just comes out with something like, "We could make it even more awkward, there's an alley out back we could take her to." I think I literally laid my head on the table and said, "Oh, for fuck's sake, you did not just say that to a woman you just met."

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THIS. Haha, oh, wow. KK's a well-meaning person and, yes, clearly harmless. Just crazy awkward. I think Russ was more mortified than I was. I've met A LOT of Sinfesters--it's hard to mortify me anymore.

I know I've virtually disappeared (and I'm sure it's clear that I just search my name every few months to see what I've missed) and have a bad habit of necroing threads, but I would totally be down for a sincon.

Yeah... I think I was embarrassed because he wasn't embarrassed to have said it. Which there's a word for (probably German), but I can't think of it off the top of my head.

I'd also be down for a SinCon... in Portland... on one of my school breaks... if that happens then I'm there!

I could go to Portland. Let's do it. Who's in?

Can we spend at least one afternoon at Powell's?

We could spend all the afternoons at Powell's! Day 1 on the first floor, day 2 on floors two and three... or we could divide it into some kind of color wheel game...

if i spent an entire afternoon at Powell's i would need to lease an entire train car to take my books home and i wouldn't be able to do that because i would have spent all my money on books and i would be left sitting on a pile of books in front of the store and crying and it would be very sad.

sincoms shouldn't be sad.

I could probably make Portland, and we might be able to cajole Patty into coming down.

I could likely make it to Portland with notice given Smile Chicago was fun many moons ago.
