Why does it gotta be Aunt Sharon?

Elsewhere, vampire mecha pilots actually works better than I thought, but still isn't as ruthlessly badass as L-Elf --the fucker redefines ruthless.

I know what you're saying, but Hataraku Maou-sama! has turned out to be WAY better than it should be. Like, it's actually good. It's not Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun excellent, but it's good for what it is.

Also, I'm clueless, unless you mean, um, this.

Oh and Fist of the North Star DD is HYSTERICAL. It's the Ken and Co., but in our 199X, not the post apocalyptic world of theirs. And they're super deformed.

Free! is starting off very well. Also, gotta love this bit from a review:

Quote:
So many of you were wondering what girls were doing in Free!. I think this is a damn good answer for that. Let’s be honest, this is probably how a lot of girls are reacting to the FANTABULOUS MUSCLES SHOWN BY HARUKA (most notably his triceps). Gou really does have a tricep fetish. As a guy, I found this scene really funny. After all, who could blame her for admiring Haruka’s obviously SUPER AMAZING FABULOUS MUSCULAR BODY?! Guys droll over tits all the time and animation studios deliver that. It’s time for some TRICEPS.

It's almost like the Hawkeye project played straight.

PORK BOWL!

Also in Free!, you knew Rei was gonna do butterfly. I'm surprised there's not more people here watching it.

Also, I'm still disappointed in the lack of Space Brothers viewership here, especially considering the space exploration proponents we have here.

Lastly, Titan is still fucking amazing.

Sunday Without God is pretty good so far, too

the light novel series it's based won Fujimi Shobo's Fantasia Prize, but I dunno if that means anything.
I guess it means it got published! hahaha

The first issue of Toriyama's new Manga, Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, is out. And... well, say what you want about the Dragonball franchise, but the man is a legend for a reason. Which makes it more surprising and disappointing that Jaco is bad. Really, really bad. Early 2000's webcomic written by a junior high Toonami fan and published on geocities bad.

I mean, normally I'd say it could get better, but this was almost forty pages, it's a condensed series (20-30 issues), and this was it's opening act, trying to create interest and draw readers in? I'm nit holding my breath.

Which reminds me, I finally caught up on Genshiken Second Season (which is really season 3) and it's been awesome. There's something about watching characters grow and change over time that's just awesome. To watch a guy like Sasahara go from self denying-otaku to becoming a manga editor is awesome, but then again, seeing a guy like Madarame still being Madarame after time and what not has passed is pretty sweet too. Overall though, Ohno is my favorite. I like how she's changed with the change of the club. She's really one of my favorite characters in any series.
