While well intentioned, that's an awfully dangerous tool that can be readily abused and misused. Who oversees and fact checks it?

Well i assume no one.

The internet oversees it. And of course it can be abused, so we'll have to see what happens, won't we?

My real fear isn't so much people being falsely accused, which I'm sure will happen, but that can be rectified and will (hopefully) affect a small very, very few people. The problem is once cases of fraud pop up, the detractors and opponents will use such fraud in an effort to abolish a system if it's not run well. Fraud undermines good movements and cripples them and basically ruins there effectiveness.

How will they use minor cases of fraud to destroy a volunteer effort?

Getting the app removed from facebook could be pretty bad.

I really would like to see this project work though.

Years ago i played match maker. Apparently, unknown to me at the time, the guy had been accused of date rape but the case was dropped on a technicality and the record had been sealed or expunged or some horse shit (I think he had a dad who was a cop or rich relative or some shit).

Nothing ever happened to her, I guess my match making failed, but I can't help but wonder what if something didi happen.

Copying the page URL instead of the image url.
It's something cheezburger does to prevent hotlinking.

What WoC said. You're better off d/l the image or screen capping it and rehosting it on http://imageshack.us or the like

If it was an accident, shouldn't the table fly into splinters?

I think I would apply just enough pressure in my walk to leave slight imprints in the ground when no one was watching.
