I saw some of the first installment of The Hobbit today. It's pretty dreadful. I actually prefer the old Rankin-Bass cartoon. |

Trailer for Winter Soldier makes me happy. Curious who the Winter Soldier is actually going to be working for though. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. True and abiding cynicism is simply a form of cowardice. |

Watched the Babymakers.
Wait, before you judge me, it's a Broken Lizard film and they are at least good for a very cheap laugh and many quotable quotes.
It, however, was not. |

I watched The Awakening on Netflix this weekend because it showed up under "Halloween Favorites".
It started off promising and then turned into some weird, half-assed Christian-propaganda movie by the end. |

Went to see Ender's Game today. It was a pretty solid adaptation. I would have liked to have seen more of the battles in battle school, but they have to cut out something I suppose. _________________ Eureka00: "Reminding you of your addictions" since 1982. |

Watched the Dragon Tattoo trilogy on Netflix this weekend.
Anyone else see this and feel that Lisbeth was largely a prop in the second and third movies? |

recently saw ...
The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey
and I know all you Middle-Earth fanatics love these Peter Jackson epics and such but they're so overblown and long just get to the damn point of the story already
Transsiberian
the kind of movie that you think there will be a real twist to somewhere in the third act but it actually doesn't really.
A Dirty Shame
just more John Waters weirdness
Predators
'cos why not
Carrie (2013)
I thought the last horror movie remake I saw with Chloe Moretz in it was the most pointless remake ever, but I was apparently wrong, there's another horror movie remake with Chloe Moretz in it that is more pointless |

Highlander has really, really, really not aged well.

Against my better judgement, saw Man of Steel.

I think they used Transformers as inspiration _________________ ...if a single leaf holds the eye, it will be as if the remaining leaves were not there.

Transformers, the Matrix, Independence Day...
At the end of the day they're just trying so desperately for a grim-dark version of the Avengers and none of it works. Superman is supposed to be the magical protector of humanity, and yet he has no concept of the collateral damage he does. Hell, at the end of the movie he fucking vaporizes a small family but he mourns Xod, not the innocents he crispified. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. Never mind the city he laid to waste in the process of fighting Zod. I'm sure all the people in those buildings had already left for the day, right? |

I saw an ad for I, Frankenstein in the newspaper and immediately knew what movie to avoid. |
