I dunno, I mean I almost never meet people I actually know in my dreams, with exactly one exception they've all just been what I assume the person would be like, lol.

I've had loads of dreams where I'm just hiding from something, or escaping something and getting chased down. In theory they're supposed to be nightmares but I always kind of liked 'em, they were exciting. I've also been shot in a dream and on one memorable occasion got to fly.

Dreams are the best. Adult dreams almost make up for all the horrible nightmares I suffered as a child.

Yesss tell us your dreams.

I would be freaked out by dudes in plaid shirts after that, though. It's crazy how dream things can just exude malice. In one of mine evereyone was terrified of a little girl and her doll. The doll especially was just oozing wrongness. Eventually it turned its head and smiled a mean smile at me. It's so hard to express why it was terrifying, it just really really was.

I actually woke up from that one because I started hyperventilating.

I've had a dream about a guy in a red plaid shirt, almost 3 years ago. Had to visit another forum where I described it so I could remember the details:

In another forum, MerchManDan wrote:
...I dreamt myself and a married couple of friends were being chased by some sort of military squad, led by a guy wearing a red plaid shirt. We evaded them somehow, found another squad that had been subdued (not sure by whom) and stole their uniforms. I tried tying them up with duct tape but tore off a strip too small and tried stretching it; it didn't work. So we just left them and then found ourselves inside an enormous warehouse or hangar; there were deep, steep-sided gravelly pits with some sort of...machinery sticking out of them, reaching upwards. An eerie red glow was coming from the bottoms of the pits (if they had bottoms), and more soldiers were shoving people into them. I ran outdoors (the married couple had vanished) and found a lineup of people, maybe hundreds of them, waiting to get inside. So I started screaming "Don't go in there!! There's furnaces in there!! Don't go in!!!" Everyone started screaming and freaking out, and then the guy in the red plaid shirt appeared next to me, put his hand on my shoulder and said "Sir, you need to come with us." I started struggling, and then I woke up.

One of the first dreams I remember was being in a big steel room with a tree, and a big metal box in one corner. The box grew in one direction, and for some reason it was terrifying.

I had an interesting dream last night.

I was off somewhere, doing something work-related, product launch or major customer installation or something. Very much out of my normal experience. Anyway, because of the work stuff, I was out of town, staying in a hotel, and as part of celebrating this launch/installation, the company I was doing the install for (or possibly partnering with for a launch) volunteered one of their more charming young engineers for the evening, to take me out on the town and show me the delights of this new, unspecified city.

So this young chap turned up at my hotel room, looking suitably petrified of me, in black tie, and whisked me off to some seriously posh bar in the city. I don't remember much of anything of the early part of the evening, but later there were minimally-clad female dancers everywhere, of which I mildly disapproved, and some pervy touchy guy hassling them. Then the dancers disappeared and pervy touchy guy started targetting me instead. I tried to get rid of him, but he didn't back off.

So I beat the living shit out of him in a hugely enjoyable manner.

It was really fun, and just when I was getting tired of beating him up, the bouncer turned up - so I promptly tipped him moderately to chuck the guy out, and stick the boot in on the way. Then I turned my back, swanned over to the bar, and enjoyed some celebratory drinks on the house (odd given my teetotality) before the even-more-terrified young engineer turned up and escorted me back to my hotel. And then ran away.

Not that I was planning to do anything to or with him, but it seemed like a funny end to the night.

All in all, that's been one of the most enjoyable dreams I've had that I can remember. I think that means I'm a bad person. Oh well.

I remember I once had a dream that I woke up, went downstairs to the refrigerator, opened it, and found grape juice inside.

But when I actually woke up, there was no grape juice.

I think a little part of me died that morning.

In the book Awakenings there's a case study of a woman receiving the drug L-dopa (a psychotropic for Parkinson's) who, every night when she goes to bed, hallucinates a man coming down the fire escape and sexually molesting her with a club. She requests her dose not be changed.

That's the only dream related story I have. It didn't make it into the movie adaptation.
