Unlearn that. That's just wrong......

(Out of curiosity, what did you have that out them together?)

A dark chocolate truffle with lemon cream filling. It was amazing. The candy place here is always surprising me.

Today I learned about Psyckopaint and that I absolutely have to save up enough to buy the pay version so I can use it when the net is down because it's fricking addictive.

Egg whites can control the conductive surface of a tablet.

In South Korea, they use sausages so they don't have to take their gloves off in cold weather.

Today I learned: how stripeypants found this out?

That's awesome, I don't even want to check if that's true or not.

I was making a pie and using my iPad as a recipe book. While cracking egg, some egg white splashed the screen. It was gross but fascinating.

Here's an English article from Wired - http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/02/korean-iphone-stylus-its-made-of-meat/

I wonder if this is cheaper than a regular stylus? I have. several. that cost less than a dollar, and I imagine they would work better than sausage.

I learnedhow to make eyeliner. Unfortunately mine is light purple, so I can't get a picture of it till tomorrow.

I used micah powder and water. A local shop sells loads of micah powder for cheap, so I canget a variety of colors. I want to alternate between a goth and a glam look. And hopefulky this stuff won't make my face break out like every makeup ever.

Yes, but they don't taste as good when you're done with them.
I didn't learn that today, though.

Today I learned that Comet Ison, which was visible in broad daylight, was mostly obliterated by the sun just about an hour after I was trying to spot it.

Today I learned that urine is either salty or sweet. I learned this by looking it up on the internets. I kinda wish I didn't know.

Allegedly, a historic test for diabetes was a taste test...

Anyway, in that's-the-kind-of-code-an-idiot-would-put-on-his-luggage news:

For Nearly Two Decades the Nuclear Launch Code at all Minuteman Silos in the United States Was 00000000

Diabetes mellitus means "to pass through honey," in Latin. If you want to test it out, I can eat a candy bar and drink a soda and you can hang out for a little while...

... an eensy bit about working with the trans* community as a health care provider. My school held a talk with a trans* activist and a provider who specializes in trans* health. It was only two hours long, and it mainly reinforced the things I've learned from talking and listening here, but it was cool that a major teaching hospital hosted the talk (although we used to have the best sexual reassignment surgeon in the country, so apparently this isn't new for them). Also horribly depressing to hear the story of Tyra Hunter and the transgender discrimination survey. WPATH's standards of care is a great (technical) read for someone like me, who is just starting out and appreciates someone gathering all of the data.

The ignorant providers thing is so very true. I should clearly have a degree with the number of times I've been told to just do whatever I think is right.
