RAWKSOME. |
The "human good" can be defined by what a human views as good, if porn and chips make Squig happy then why does it matter if it is temptation or for his "good"?
By even asking the question we are assuming that there are two types of pleasure, one that allows us to be fulfilled by being moral/right/conscious, and another which is good because it can be experienced as feeling good. Squig here is not merely being tempted by the idea of a higher good, rather then his own piggy ways, but it also suggests that along with this moral "obligation" is the return to his old ways also born, which would explain the devil in the last scene.
Anyone think it was odd that the devil can get involved in bringing him back to his old ways and yet Seymour is the one trying to get him into some christian act? I would assume that god would have some say... _________________ Posting in a webcomic forum is redundant how? |

Actually, I meant "human good" by Squig's willpower to deny those that he desires, oh so much.
And then Temptation.
Obviously. |
