I think I like this utopia story the best so far. Also, did we know her name is Clio? _________________ ...if a single leaf holds the eye, it will be as if the remaining leaves were not there.

Not necessarily, mirembe is Luganda for peace, and while the primary language of Uganda, it's spoken in a bunch of African countries. _________________ ...if a single leaf holds the eye, it will be as if the remaining leaves were not there.

I'm interested too, but I'm not sure if we're going to get such entertainment. I don't think we've been getting as many strawman racists, misogynists, or the like when prime bait such as this presents itself.
I remember there being a decent decline in the number of people like that who posted here when I first got my account... would be interesting though. _________________ Everyone is equal in the eyes of death. |

ok, i'm sorry, but i have to point out that this is a serious problem with equality as it is presented here - you end up with short, boring stories. i have a boring life! i need exciting stories! i need makayla to run that checker cab down, throw it to the ground and engage the driver in a wide-ranging roller-coaster of a discussion that will end with his conversion to a champion in the fight for a race- and gender-neutral world! i need this conversation to involve them throwing fireballs at each other and blowing up the taxi! AND I NEED IT TO GO ON FOR PAGES AND PAGES!
i means seriously, judging from the sisterhood's efforts, future literature will all be in the form of single tweets. IS THIS THE WORLD WE WANT FOR OUR CHILDREN? especially the ones who might otherwise be gainfully employed in the publishing industry. _________________ aka: neverscared!

Actually, this is the world we want for our children. Makayla isn't a warrior woman fighting for justice. She's just trying to get home. I think it's great that she just gets home, no problem. And the thing is, this is an important story for girls to hear growing up also. It teaches them what to expect from a decent society. |

yes, but decent societies are boring to read about! and the stories are too short to keep me entertained while i am waiting in the doctor's office!
can't you see that keeping me entertained is far more important than creating a decent world where everyone is treated with equality and justice and there is peace and prosperity and kindness to all?
