Mouse, that is a fantastic blanket. I'd love to get the pattern. Very Happy

Might as well post my own thing.

A ten-stitch blanket. I kept seeing it in tumblr (someone was making it and posting her photos) and I got inspired to make one. Using Lion Brand's Amazing, colorway Glacier Bay, but will probably add a Constellation and another skein in it just to keep it interesting.

thanks! it doesn't have an official pattern. i started from the leaf blanket patter in vogue knitting, but i worked in the round to do a square, and repeated the pattern in each quadrant. and i threw in some extra leaves, because the start is a bit thin on leaves, and i also used a different leaf pattern for the top. same edging though - since i was knitting in the round, i just used the edging as the cast-off.

...hopefully that all makes sense. my project page is http://www.ravelry.com/projects/whitemouse/27-leaf-blanket, but i don't seem to have included a lot of detail.

how does the 10-stitch work? you pick up along the edge and then do short rows for the corners? whatever, it looks fun!

As a matter of fact, you are correct: You pick-up the slipped stitch edge to connect, and do short rows for corners. Still trying to figure out how to connect the corner stitches, but I think the method I'm doing the trick.

I'm also designing a half-pi shawl of garter, but I'm out of yarn for that one. Neutral
