Perhaps. But without going snywhere on that, this feels a bit like a "And now, Percy complains about his food" kind of strip after some actual plot continuity.

I agree. At least this was relating to a previous setup and wasn't completely out of the blue. Ideally it's the leadup to Seymour getting involved in the main plot somehow though.

Tomorrow's strip better involve Lil'E and Tange or I will be--

DISAPPOINTED

Not even angry, I'll just click onto the site and be like "aw, damn".

Similarly, Seymour isn't thinking of any specific people -- just the idea of getting rewarded while the anonymous undeserving get punished.

i don't know, he has them all saying "seymour was right! we should have listened to him!". which makes me wonder if it was all the people who made fun of him when he was sermonizing.

For sure. I remember being weirded out when I was younger by a gospel song about Christians making fun of non-Christians who are thirsty in hell. (Basically, "Y'all are so sorry now that you're in hell! HAHAHAHA"). It was really disgusting to hear.

I found that same mentality when adults would try to talk to me about bullying. The inevitable argument was, "Well, all the people who hate you in school are going to end up as poor drug addicts." I couldn't find words to explain that this was not satisfying or a solution to my problems I was experiencing right then. It seemed so odd to me that grown people still hadn't grown out of this idea that revenge is awesome.

A local boy kicked me in the butt last week.
I just smiled at him, and I turned the other cheek.
I really don't care; in fact, I wish him well, because I'll be laughing my head off when he's burning in Hell!

I would like to see a Seymour-experiences-Hell (or perhaps Purgatory?) series. Though up till now he's really seemed to have developed more real kindness and such, I'm troubled by this backsliding...

Of course if Yaoi Bubblebath Jesus (that tickles) tells him to love his enemies, then that might be enough. (Tee hee)
