Devil Corp has a giant pit full of people whom its employees stab and torture repeatedly for all eternity. They aren't a normal company, with normal morals.

They're probably just harvesting pain as a power source. The pain of tortured souls is the ultimate renewable energy source. Satan needs enough energy to power his giant Fluttershy mecha.

Well, yeah, but that's supposedly The Will of God. I'm not sure The Will of God applies to Fembot manufacture.

This doesn't make much sense to me. Users who want to inflict pain would want them to feel it, not endure it. What's the point of torture if the bot can shrug it off? A sadistic user doesn't want to have to pull a muscle to get results.
If anything, they should be hypersensitive to pain. At the end of the day, all they really need to be able to do is survive it.

I already mentioned that it should be adjustable. Some sadists like their blood, sweat, and tears on both sides of the equation. Others are lazy. Put a dial on that shit, including full pain immunity for when the fembot ain't got time for pain.

You can't expect that! Everything Big D touches is tainted with far too much incompetence for that!

There's another explanation for why a robot might be programmed to feel pain (Alibiet probably NOT in this case, but-)

I.e., because pain is a very useful feedback mechanism for "DON'T DO THAT, it may break you."
