Rogue Horizon? Things'd be seriously wonky if your horizon went rogue. I guess it could also be read as Log Horizon, but that makes no... okay, it makes just as much sense as any other anime title.

How were those gifs made? They seem like actual keys, if they're just comic panels I will die because how. How do you draw something that animates so well without actually trying to make an animation.

It's just that ridiculously good. Sam's posted about it elsewhere on the interwebs that it needs an anime. I found those .gifs here: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2013/03/06/chapter-of-one-punch-man-manga-turned-into-incredible-animated-gif

Oh and on the anime front, World Trigger is so far so good (faithful to the manga) and Log Horizon season 2 is just picking up where it left off.

Then there's Terraformars . . . it involves lots of violence and giant cockroach-human hybrid thingies and humans that turn into bugs . . . yeah, it's nightmare fuel, but there might be an actual story as well. Too soon to tell and I'm unfamiliar with the manga. Also, I'm stoked for tomorrow's new series, which will probably be the best new thing this season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAfMW6GUDSw

Parasyte -the maxim- aka Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu is probably the best new series this season. It's kinda violent and bloody at times, but very deep and psychological -- it involves these sentient parasites that don't follow human ideas of morality. The killing is done out of a survival instinct and it's the type of series that makes serious efforts to question what it means to be human, a person, and humanity in general. Really powerful stuff.

Also, Psysho Pass 2 is just a smidge behind it in this fashion, and made re-watching the extended version of the first season worth it.

Yona of the Dawn aka Akatsuki no Yona is a neato Korean historical fantasy ala reverse harem where the lady lead seems to be going through some good quality character growth.

Also, the newest season of Chaika -The Coffin Princess- picks up well from where it left off and improves on last season.

I imagine that somewhere, in Japan, a conversation along these lines took place:

"What if we remake Sailor Moon . . . only with a bunch of slacker high schoolers."

"That would be ridiculous."

"Exactly!"

"Wait . . . oh my . . . Shocked Love Making!"

Despite the obvious initial constraints to the animation budget (I've learned to make a game of trying to figure out when a series gets an increase to their budget (usually by episode 5-6 if it's good) blah blah blah dsfgsdgsdkfgnng . . .

AWWW FUCK IT!

ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my friend is letting me use his crunchyroll account which means I'm watching way more anime than is probably healthy lately.

Thoughts so far: Witch Craft Works was pretty cute. Little Witch Academy was SUPER ADORABLE.

Love Story (entertainingly recommended to me by a straight dude) was... well. Pretty much dub-con the whole way through (less entertaining). I regret watching to the end, it really didn't get better.

Aaand I accidentally watched like five episodes of the second season of Sword Art Online and spent most of that time thinking "Wow there really aren't a lot of swords this is kind of weird."

Log Horizon: Where you wish you could skip the first few episodes because they're a pain to watch.
