Oooh! The book Hannibal!! The movie sucks.
And I think the biblical references in Se7en would make it more appealing since it would be "old school" sins. Spacey's character did bow to evil and so did Pitt's. It is an amazing movie and one of my all time favorites.
Momento might also work. I can't think of an all society bowing down though. I'll think some more.

| I think Primal Fear, Fallen, and Star Wars Episode III are all good candidates. A good cop out answer would be some (most?) horror movies. |
