Hello, welcome to the wonderful world of Nintendo DS. I'll be your host, eureka00. We couldn't let those silly PSP folk have all the fun. I purchased my DS Lite a lil over a month ago, and I must say it is one sexy system. I play the DS far more than I've ever played any handheld system. I simply love it and the price is right for a DS Lite at only $130US.
I have six games for it so far:
Mario Kart DS
Lost Magic
Brain Age
Tetris DS
Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers
Ultimate Spiderman
Anyways, this thread will mainly be used for Sinfesters to share their friend codes so we can possibly to do some awesome gaming together.
Here are my friend codes:
Tetris DS: 196944 691223
Mario Kart DS: 137512 856332
Lost Magic: 128922 921859
If you're interested in playing with me sometime shoot me a message via one of my IMs. _________________ Eureka00: "Reminding you of your addictions" since 1982. |

somehow the DS did not quite attract me... (and being a Nintendo fan as I am, that really surprises me)
I guess there wasn't that many good titles for it here in brazil, and they are all so expensive...
I bought a Gb Micro instead ^^ |

You really must check out the DS Lite. The screens are amazingly bright, also you can still play your GBA games on the DS. Brain Age, Mario Kart DS, and Tetris DS are my favorites. So much fun and the last two can be played via wifi, as well. _________________ Eureka00: "Reminding you of your addictions" since 1982. |

I refuse to buy a handheld Nintendo system until they make Dragon Warrior IV.
If they can make DW I & II and DW III, they sure as hell can make DQ IV.
I'm on strike until they do. |

I highly suggest picking up either Animal Crossing: WW or Lost in Blue. The second one is quite fun as you are surviving on an island and have to keep yourself alive (ie feed and water yourself and the girl, keep yourself full of energy). I feel quite proud of myself because I'm the only one of my friends that hasn't immediately died and given up on the game a week after they bought it. That either means it's a difficult game or my friends are idiots. Either way, this game was released early in the DS' life cycle and doesn't make effective use of the stylus except to dig up roots or fish with a spear. Still a great game though, I recommend picking it up. _________________ Anything new and exciting? |

They did remake it. For the Playstation. In Japan. :/
Lousy Japan... gets all the cool ish...
A real shame, since the one we got could really do with the retranslation and graphical pick-me-up. |

You mean they remade it after the Nintendo version? I only ever saw it on the NES system but I wore it out there. |

Quote: | Dragon Quest IV was remade for the PlayStation on November 22, 2001 in Japan. It was developed by Heartbeat and published by Enix. [...] The Enix of America Corporation originally planned to bring the remake to North America in 2002, but it was later canceled due to Heartbeat closing its video game development operations. |

At least Nintendo releases different, better, and updated versions of their systems. Sure, the GBA was released in several different forms, but it provides several different choices when I go to buy a system. Also, if you owned an original fat DS I believe you could exchange it and one or two unused games for an upgrade to a Lite at Gamestops. So getting the latest release of a system isn't as much of a waste of money as you might think. _________________ Eureka00: "Reminding you of your addictions" since 1982. |

I really like the cobalt blue DS. Especially since I bought it myself, there is no way I'd be 'upgrading' it to a Lite. Considering my gameboy has proved to be very tough and near unbreakable. _________________ Anything new and exciting? |
