I get a timed out screen 1 out of every 4 loads between 6 and 9 every evening, and only the forum here is affected... yeah, I would wager the server is straining...

| Wow... I've had a few times where it took the page a few seconds to load, but I've never been logged off or had the pages not load at all. I'm also here at a wide variety of times, so it's not like I'm just not around at busy times. |

lol Tat knew what the other forum was like. I can't believe he will be surprised that this one is going to be similar in usuage.
I got logged out a couple times if I left it sitting on the page and went out to do stuff. I've had a page not load once or twice, but refrsh always works. I haven't noticed it being slow though. *knocks on wood* _________________ "Her kisses left something to be desired -- the rest of her. " |

true but i've no idea how tech savvy he is. forums don't take up a lot of bandwidth considering the number of pageviews but they do use a lot of processing power because all the pages are generated from database queries. so a busy forum would require a semi-dedicated or possibly even dedicated host.
mine was timing out a lot at the time this thread was made but now it's nice and fast. |

| I had some time out issues a few days ago, but recently everything is working good. |

the posting spree seemed to have slowed down some.
does anyone here remember the server before phpbb?
staying up late and posting isn't abnormal, it's about the only way to ensure a crash free foruming time. |

Forum lag is a figment of your derenged mind, or your shitty connection, or both. There is nothing wrong with the forum, there has never been anything wrong with the forum. We have allways been at war with Iraq. We have always been the best of friends with Iraq. _________________ -HamletSr |
