That's true, dazed. Lots of people are in love with being in love, or being loved, or not having to be alone, or not having to wonder if they will find someone. Other people are in love with the chase. Not much left over, I think.

Well, no matter what anyone says, Slick is never going to be with 'Nique for one simple reason.

That's like the whole damn point of the comic.

Unless Tat feels like ending it anytime soon, I can't see it happening.

And they totally don't look good together.

Even if SLick gets together with Nique, i can still see Sinfest goes on though. Plenty of stuff to draw for their relationship afterward. As for me, they do look good together ^^~ They click well together. I still can't believe Slick just gave up on Nique's first reply.

It bothers me to realize that I still understand that crap. However, it doesn't mean that I don't recognize it for what it is: assuming the person who is doing the turning down doesn't know what "she" wants. She obviously should want the person asking. ::snorts:: I hate it when people assume stupidity. If the person is so stupid to not know what they want, why bother with them? Waiting around harboring unrequited love is just silly and I personally don't respect a person who does it.

I realize that some people believe that God has one person for them but rarely have I met someone who "knew" who it was and the relationship lasted. When you take the above situation into account, I have never found someone who was correct in their feeling that the person was "the one" God had choosen for them. It is more often than not it is an excuse to pseudo-stalk the girl.

It's also the main force behind many, many love triangles, particularly those involving adolescents, in various fictional settings (manga and anime in particular come to mind).

She's bein' ineffably f-minine - like, "No, tell me how you really feel .. " and whatever Slick says is gonna wind up pretzeled.

There ain't no winnin' that game Wink, give up & have a cold one or five . . .

I can't help but think there is a hell of a lot more to this story.

Not to mention build up.

Stunning, but would probably be more so if I had any experience with relationships.

Slick really has Monique up on a pedestal. Would be entertaining if he gave up completely, then Monique somehow realizes how much she loves him, professes her love, only to get turned down by Slick. The helpless romantics always seem to be the little boys...On a side note i saw a really funny shirt the other day. It said "HELPLESS ROMANTIC SEEKS FILTHY WHORE." fun stuff

Considering the history they have, I'd be skeptical too if I was her, though I can definitely relate to being rejected in that manner. In hindsight though, she was right at the time.
