Slicks been getting very... emotional... lately. I cant tell if this is tat venting some personal issues or just setting up another story arc. |

That direction doesn't bother me a bit. Actually just the opposite, since I too am going through some deep emotional and personal issues currently. Therefore these emo strips hit me right to the heart and make me love Sinfest even more than ever since they are so easy for me to identify with. <3
Shallow superficial topics in comic strips are good for light-weighted basic material, but it's really these deeper themes which matter more. They develop the characters and give them more dimensions and depth.
Besides, the strip is still fun, isn't it? _________________ "Sometimes the devil tempts me to believe in God." |

It's quite funny, I love it. People will believe what they want about themsevles most of the time and nothing you can say will change it. |

It's Slick's last line that gets me. It is so hard to turn off that voice inside your own head that says "You're short and a dweeb and that's why you're not loved." Or whatever your own evil self-criticsm says. I wish I could cover my ears and walk away from it. _________________ A person's character is their destiny. |

Lung? |
That's right, you know...when you hear something tragic and you breath in really sharp, that's your lung that's breathing. And that's where I'm sad. |

Ah, okay, thanks for clearing that up - where I come from, if somebody heard something sad, we call it heartbreaking. It's more metaphorical than practical. I have never heard of somebody being sad in the lung - it's not normally associated with emotions :-) |

Awww. Poor Slick. I like this one, though. The so-called "emo" arc doesn't bother me at all; I like it. Plus, it's not like we still don't see plenty of cynicism and sarcastic humor. Everybody's happy! (...except the characters) _________________ sometimes i make posts |

I wanna give poor Slick a hug. _________________ Before God created Las he pondered on all the aspects a woman might have, he considered which ones would look good super-inflated and which ones to leave alone.
