Note panel 2 that Piggy refers to "instanto ramen", the pre-made variety, not the usual fare one can eat.
As for my own ramen : I like to buy a bit of vegs, a bit of chicken/pofk, and mix my miso ramen to my taste.
tiddbits : ramen are the chinese noodle. Japanese noodles are soba, somen or u-don according to the kind of flour used. Noodles soups, are popular from Myanmar to Japan, can't think of a small shop where you can't buy the instant noodle variety. But far tastier to eat them in a side restaurant imho. _________________ 我的氣墊船裝滿了鱔魚 |

mmmm, mr. noodles.... I still prefer Kraft Dinner for a cheap and efficient meal but meh, guess that's just my Canadian Heritage showing. _________________ I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell. |

I ate way too many packages of plain ramen (no veggies or other flavorings addes). Now, I hate the stuff. _________________ A person's character is their destiny. |

I ate a lot of ramen for a while. Usually the "top ramen" or whatever was at the local store cheap. I usually made two bricks at a time, and only used one "flavor" packet for the whole thing. When I made one brick, I used half a pack. Doesn't add actual nutrition to the product, but it's slightly less death.
Sometimes I'd throw a slice or two of cheese on top and let it melt, when I felt frisky.
I want ramen now. |

hhhmm, i read it from somewhere if you eat ramen everyday, you'll die in 10 years due to the huge amount of sodium intake. |

Damn, it's like Tat read my mind or something. I just ate some ramen...and it was good.
if I were to die in 10 years from ramen, it would be a good happy death. |

i used to throw in some frozen vegies and an egg and then some lemon juice to brighten it up - one pot dinner!
i think living at least part of the time on ramen noodles is just part of being a college student - you know, like all-nighters. not particularly good for you, but what you need to do at the time. _________________ aka: neverscared!

I'm with you on that...
This recipe was posted on LJ though, and sounds oh-so-good right now... maybe just because i'm hungry.
Cream of Mushroom Ramen
1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Pack Asian, Mushroom, or Beef Ramen Noodles
1 teaspoon Soy sauce
1 Dash ground pepper
1 1/2 cups of water
put water, Soy, Pepper, and Seasoning Pack in medium sauce pan.
Crumble Noodle Brick into Said Sauce pan and bring to boil.
simmer for 90 seconds on medium to low heat, then add CoMS.
Stir until Mushroom soup is blended with noodles fully.
remove from heat and let stand 30 more seconds.
Stir and Serve. |

In college, I used to mix ramen noodles, instant rice and frozen peas together... I could get 3 meals out of it, easy. Thanks mom for teaching me the art of box and can cooking....
And no soup for any of us.... just ramen... |

WTF!?!? this was today, at lunch, my wife instructing me on the proper and ONLY way to make ramen, her stressing the fact that I needed "to set the timer for three minutes ahead of time and then instantly turn around and start it when the noodles are dropped in."
Seriously Tat, watch where you point that crystal ball
Edit* to go with what Secret said, look in squigs hands in the last panel. _________________ ...if a single leaf holds the eye, it will be as if the remaining leaves were not there.
