De Speld, aka the dutch onion, has an article today exposing how all conspiracy theories are actually the work of just two parties: jews and the CIA!
Coincidence? I think not...

based on the replies obviously this is some pictogram font that's not on my computer.
Folks I follow keep posting these things that don't work for me, so how was I to know what they mean.

edit: don't work on my android phone, either.

Interestingly, they DO work on my Galaxy S3.

What's a good length for a mix CD? I'm putting one together as a present.

The selections are all going to be instrumentals, mostly piano + strings or orchestral, and they're all coming from indie and amateur composers and players who have been posting their stuff to the web so there's no big names on this list. Most of the ones I want to use are short, around 3-4 minutes, and so far I have 12 of them adding up to about 48 minutes. For the most part I have a what seems like a decent arrangement of tracks that lends itself to a certain narrative.
But it seems just a little short, despite how well I've made things fit together. Is that just me feeling obligated to throw more things in to make a decent gift, or is that about the right length for an instrumental mix CD meant to be experienced in one sitting?

Is it just me or has the model on the cover of "Curtsies & Conspiracies" been photoshopped to ridiculous thinness? I can't quite make out if the angle is just odd or something...

The book is probably good, but I keep encountering it and it creeps me out a bit.

I think it's the angle and the fact she's wearing a corset, mostly. They may have done something to her lower arm though. I just dislike that cover's design, something about the colours looks off and it just doesn't appeal to me. It doesn't combine the modern with the old style Victorian elements very well. The model looks way too harshly cut and pasted on the background.

I am an amateur graphic designer though, which may be why I'm so harsh on this unfortunate cover.

Seems like a decent length, but then who is the gift for? Are you impressing someone with your musical-peen or sharing a flow/theme of music?

It's for my neighbor/Second Mom. Not trying to show off, just give her something nice to sit back and listen to.

Yep, I'd go with the flow then. She can put it on repeat if she wants it to keep going. Smile

This is the age of terabytes my friend.

Give her enough music to last for a lifetime.
