In my experience it usually means "fairly late" because they close shop when everybody finally leaves.
I think I'd rather have a set time though, that way if it is late and you're like "shit are they open" you can get a more definite answer than "well maybe." _________________ Samsally the Gray |

Gotta agree with you. Also, that's gotta suck for the poor schlubs behind the counter. _________________

So question to sinfesters: how do you resolve conflicts with your partner when it comes to travelling/picking a destination? My gf wants to go to india, cause she'll already be in nepal, but I am not particularly keen on going there, especially not in june, for two months, living on a shoe string budget. She also likes to travel around, a lot; basically covering most of the south of india in those two months. Indian trains = a pretty bad prospect. Now, she is willing to come to Europe early and do something here, but I kinda feel a dick about it. So I feel so? Alternatively, what would be a fair compromise here?
EDIT: in general, I am not much of a traveler; I like to live in foreign places (i.e stay in one place for longer amount of time) _________________ When life gives you lemons, some people make lemonade. I just eat them and make a sour face. |

It's also about money, flying will be 700 bucks, living cheaper, but I am sorta broke. I can loan extra, but I am already 22k in debt. Hmmm. _________________ When life gives you lemons, some people make lemonade. I just eat them and make a sour face. |

So I love everything about my new computer except one tiny stupid thing.
For some reason it doesn't know what the firefox icon should be when it's pinned to the task bar. I took a screencap to show what I mean.
I have no idea if it's just a missing picture file or what and I'm unsure how to fix it. It's such a dumb little thing, but it's kinda bothering me all the same. Any ideas? _________________ Samsally the Gray |

| I have no idea either. Did you tell it to install somewhere other than the default location? Try "un-pinning" the program from the task bar? |

Firefox was already installed, actually. I did try unpinning and repinning.
Maybe I'll just uninstall and reinstall.
Edit: Well, that worked! Now I feel silly for forgetting to try that first. _________________ Samsally the Gray |

Ah, that new desktop look. All clean and free of clutter... I miss that. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I’ll do anything to protect them from hurt, the human race is what I serve." - Baba Brinkman |

I'm going to keep it clean! I'm going to find a home for everything as soon as I save it, so nothing ever goes to the desktop!
A week later you're trying to do something and DivX or Adobe wants to update and you're like, "Fuck it, I'll get to you later," and save it to the desktop and it's all ooooooooover! _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. 1) ALWAYS update stuff like Flash or Acrobat right away. Too many big exploits have been in the news lately.
2) That's why you have a Downloads folder. Just direct all those installers there. |

Listen, if I were organized then I wouldn't have a cluttered desktop, would I? _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I’ll do anything to protect them from hurt, the human race is what I serve." - Baba Brinkman |
