I've considered some of the classic figures from the Mabinogi, but I think that I'd probably feel the same as someone who moves to the US and takes the name Abraham Lincoln, or moves to Spain and takes the name Don Quixote.

I need a new name, but I don't want a bad name.

(I've forgotten the words I was learning.)

I don't know what your relationship with your birth sex/ pre-transition life was like, but have you considered using your birth name or masculine equivalent as your middle name? kind of a reminder of your journey sort of thing. I'm sure if there is a negative association you would want to distance yourself from it as much as possible, but maybe it is something to consider. probably you already have.

Welsh does look like a language of typos. It doesn't seem so bad when you know how to pronounce it.

I am fighting the urge to just go with something made of 'w', 'dd' 'll' 'y' and nothing else. I don't know why I get such joy out of that.

There are lots of reasons I don't want to do that. I don't speak with my family at all, and I have no reason to keep a name any of them came up with. I was named after a book character/historical person (Don't ask who.), so I thought about taking a different name from the same series. But then I realized I'd just be doing it to be clever. It wouldn't make me happy, and as I've changed my name once before to something clever that I dislike, I'd rather go with something neutral that has long-term capabilities.

In any case, my siblings were given religious names that start with 'm', so at least now I match,

Lee is the best middle name of all time and forever. I'm willing to share.

Am I the only one who noticed this:

Also, I'm gonna steal my friend Jeremy's idea and suggest Geezuss. He used to say he was going to name his first born that and that it needed to be spelled that way and not Jesus. That way no one would try to pronounce it with Spanish pronunciation (Jesús) like Juan or Jose.

Does anyone else have trouble posting here?

When I hit "submit" it hangs for a minute or two. If there's a picture in it it usually takes 4-5 minutes to go through.

It's not a connection issue, it happens from different computers at work and home.

plus, at work my stuff looks like this

EDIT: Of course it wouldn't do it on the post I am asking about it...

I've gotten in the habit of highlighting my whole post and copying it to the clipboard before posting, just in case it times out.
